Hatoma is a small and peaceful island with around 40 inhabitants. It only takes 1 hour to walk around, the ocean and the lighthouse everywhere within reach. Walking around is also basically the only thing to do. The beaches are good for sunbathing and swimming, not for snorkelling. If you like to go snorkelling, we recommend you to book a tour.
In between Iriomote and Hatoma island lies Barasu island, a coral/sand dune which attracts visitors on certain moments a day. Hatoma island offers only one restaurant and a few full service minshuku (traditional Japanese guesthouse).
HOW TO GET IN HATOMA?
